Second paramilitary-style shooting in two days

A MAN has been shot in a paramilitary-style attack in the Carnhill area of Londonderry.

It is the second such shooting in the city in the space of two days.

Detectives in Derry are appealing for information following the shooting incident.

Around 9.40pm last night, Tuesday, 19 October, four masked males entered a house and discharged a number of shots.

The 48 year old male occupant sustained two gunshot wounds to each leg (four in total) and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The four males, all wearing dark clothing, made off from the house.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the males entering or leaving the house or has any information in relation to this incident to contact them at Strand Road CID on 0845 600 8000.
