It is anticipated that the top seven students at the event will be offered the opportunity on an IAM Advanced Driver Training course.

The committee are looking into the possibility of holding a future event at the University of Ulster.

It is hoped to hold a public speaking competition amongst local schools and to invite a guest panel of judges.

Last year’s initiative will be remembered for the input from Mr and Mrs Paul McCracken who lost their daughter, Shannon, a pupil at Dalriada, in a car crash just outside Ballymoney.
