Security alert
ARMY bomb experts examined a suspect device in the Dean's Walk area of the town on Thursday afternoon.
Roads in the Wakehurst area were cordoned-off while the device, left in an alleyway, was inspected.
Crowds of young people watched on from a nearby street corner while armed police provided protection as forensic experts examined the scene for evidence.
Residents complained about the disruption: "Have they nothing better to do," said one local.
"Why are they leaving stuff in our area, it doesn't make sense," said another woman who could not get home.
