Security alert at Maghaberry prison 'elaborate hoax'

A police spokesperson said a suspicious object had been found in the prison grounds on Monday.

Army technical officers were called to the jail to examine the object.

The high-security male prison houses sentenced and remand prisoners, in both separated and integrated conditions.
