Security alert ends at Pennybridge
The security alert in the Pennybridge area of Ballymena has now ended.
Two controlled explosions were carried out in the Pennybridge Industrial Estate earlier on Wednesday and a number of premises evacuated during a security alert at a garage in response to a report that a suspicious object had been found under a car.
Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley said: “The suspicious object was not an explosive device. We are confident that there is no cause for concern for the local community.
