Security alert in Lurgan

Police have investigated a report a suspicious object had been left on the railway line at Lake Street in Lurgan. Searches have revealed nothing untoward and the train line is expected to reopen shortly, a spokesperson said.

Train services had been halted as a precaution and members of the public urged to avoid the area at present while police made enquiries into the report.
