Security first for Portrush RNLI

Portrush RNLI crew have been given a state of the art security system by a Portrush firm.

B&E Security Systems Ltd. based in Portrush donated the security system to the station to give protection to the growing collection of lifeboat memorabilia and of course the equipment and boats that are used to save lives at sea

Brendan McIntyre along with his sons Niall and Sean visited the station recently to show Lifeboat Operations Manager Robin Cardwell how to use the system.

Brendan said: “We were keen to support the RNLI and donate an intruder alarm system to help keep our local station secure. We know what a great job the crew do and thought this would be a good way to show our appreciation to the volunteer crew.”

Robin Cardwell Lifeboat Operations manager added: “The crew are delighted with the generous donation from B&E Security Systems.

“We need to be assured that our Inshore Lifeboat is well protected as well as our collection of Portrush Lifeboat memorabilia.

“We’d like to thank Brendan and the family for the security system and the assurance it gives the crew that the station is well protected.”
