Country star Derek Ryan is hauling his band to Cookstown for a special performance at Cookstown Primary School, in aid of their autism unit.

Tonight’s event (Nov 20), which is hosted by the Parents and Friends of Cookstown PS, promises to be amazing experience for fans of the singing legend.

And all proceeds from the family friendly concert will go to building a much-needed outdoor soft play area at the school.

Recently, Derek took time out of his busy schedule to visit the centre and meet some of the pupils that will benefit from this new facility.

And he was popular with the kids - taking the time to meet and sign autographs for some rather enthusiastic young fans. Tickets for the event are available from Cookstown Primary School, Stewarts Music Shop in Dungannon, McConnell’s Shoes or JK Coaches, who are offering a package deal to those living a little further away.

J&K Coaches are offering ticket along with return coach transport from various points in Mid Ulster to the Derek Ryan Concert at a cost of £25 per person.
