From this week, the extensive Larne Times archive is being opened to revive memories of local folk at work, rest and play.

Big hair, curly perms, tints, shell suits and too-short shorts will all be on show once again.

School photos, sports teams, works dinners, clubs, societies and community groups - no matter what you were up to in the dim-but-not-too-distant past, we will be publishing the pictures in our Past (im)perfect feature page each week again to indulge a collective craving for nostalgia and let younger readers see what their elders and betters looked like.

We are asking readers to take part as well. If you have photos that show how the march of time has left behind you, your loved ones, friends or former acquaintances, please share them with us.

Anyone got pictures of Seventies teens in Bay City Rollers gear?

We’d love to see some local Punks in their prime.

There must be some fantastic snaps of now not-so-Young Romantics out there and if you dressed like Adam Ant – or if you know somebody who did – now’s the time to stand and deliver!

We’re looking for pictures featuring local people and snapped 10 years ago or more, including team line-ups, awards winners, dancers, Scouts, Guides, GBs and BBs – you name it.
