Senior Citizens' Forum finds new base

That was the message issued by Forum Chairperson Betty Gillespie this week.

With their office at the Barron Hall in Glengormley having been damaged in last month’s arson attack, the group has now relocated to temporary accommodation at Ballyduff Community Centre.

As major rebuilding work is needed at the Barron Hall, the organisation, which represents older people across the borough, will be based at the Forthill Drive facility for the foreseeable future.

“We would like to thank the Ballyduff community for letting us have this space,” said Mrs Gillespie, speaking on behalf of the Forum’s committee. “And we would also like to thank everyone who helped us with the clean up operation after the fire.”

The next meeting of NSCF will take place at Glengormley Pavilion on August 27 at 10.30am. All welcome.
