Sent for trial on amphetamine supply charge

A BALLYMENA man has been sent for trial on charges relating to the possession and supply of class A drugs.

Kenneth James Wright (44), of Chichester Park, is accused of possession of diamorphine (heroin) and possession with intent to supply the same substance.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on August 6.

The court was told that the charges relate to a quantity of three ‘wraps’ with a value of 75.

Wright was returned for trial, in custody, to Antrim Crown Court next month, following a preliminary enquiry at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
