Sentence deferred on local teenager

A BALLYMENA teenager will be sentenced next month after admitting a charge of disorderly behaviour.

Sentencing was deferred until May 13 on Matthew Gray, pending the outcome of a trial on a different set of public order charges.

Gray admitted using disorderly behaviour at Orkney Drive on September 20, when he appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court.

But he denies a number of charges relating to an alleged incident at North Road on November 1, when he is accused of causing criminal damage to a fence; disorderly behaviour; two counts of assaults on police; and resisting police.
