Sentinel in UK top six

ANALYSIS of the recent Audit Bureau of Circulation figures continues to bring good news for the Londonderry Sentinel - with only five papers across the UK enjoying a bigger sales increase from July to December 2009.

Across the UK as a whole, only 15 weekly newspapers classified as 100pc paid-for increased their circulation in the period July - December 2009 - down from 25 for the same period in 2008.

An analysis of the ABC figures by media website HoldtheFrontPage.co.uk shows that, of those 15, seven were in England, five in Northern Ireland, three in Scotland and none in Wales.

The Sentinel's 5.6% circulation increase was the sixth highest in the UK.
