September meeting for Women's Section

The Chairman, Mrs Mary Henry opened the meeting by receiving the Standard and reading the exhortation. Mary then welcomed everyone back after the summer break. She also wished those who are ill a speedy recovery.

The members also wished Mary well as she had a hip replacement five weeks ago and is making a good recovery.

Apologies were received from Mrs M Holmes, L Balmer, A Park, J Walker, S McMaster, E Elliot, V Hamilton, B Laverty, T Graham and M Cunningham.

The Secretary read the minutes of the last meeting and all business was dealt with. The competition for the prettiest plate was won be Mrs Hessie Forsythe, 2nd was Mrs Isobel Barkley and 3rd was Mrs Anne Black.

Quiz sheet winners were 1st Mrs M Templeton, 2nd Mrs Craig, S Calvin.

The meeting closed with the return of the Standard and singing the National Anthem.
