SERC Animal Management students visit Stormont

SOUTH Eastern Regional College (SERC) Animal Management students were the recent guests of Mr Basil McCrea, MLA for Lagan Valley, at Stormont.

The students were treated to a guided tour of the Historic building and were given various interesting talks by Kevin Shields (Business Office), Louis Close (Manager of Outreach Event Management Department) and Eva Grossman (Programme Co-ordinator, NI Assembly Legislative Strengthening Trust).

The students are studying Business Event Management as one of their units and have taken over one of SERC Small Business Enterprises, Pennies4Paws, from the previous year’s students. The entrepreneurial students are planning a series of events throughout the year to raise money for the charity and the speakers informed them of the importance of planning an event thoroughly, no matter what size.
