Service ensures independence
The Northern Health and Social Care Trust is running a Community Equipment Service to help people living in the Newtownabbey area regain their independence more quickly.
The six-day-a-week service delivers and collects care equipment to meet the needs of service users, enabling safe and timely discharge from hospitals and the promotion of independence and mobility in their own homes.
Last year the service dealt with a total of 33,000 requests for equipment.
