Set for Twelth and Thirteenth

The parade starts at 7.45pm and the public is asked to come into the town and join the celebrations.

A spokesman said: “This event grows bigger and bigger every year as more bands join our short parade of the town. Then on Sunday, July 10, we are holding our Boyne Anniversary Service in Shankill Parish Church at 3pm. This service is open to the public, and I would encourage anyone to come along and join with us as we worship in the Lords House.”

On the Twelfth itself Lurgan’s Orangemen will leave Brownlow House at 8am.

Buses will be leaving from Russell Drive at 9.15am and tickets will be available from any member.

On Wednesday, July 13, Lurgan Royal Black District Chapter will host its annual excursion to Bangor.

Events will start with a morning parade of the town, starting at 8.30am, preceded by a service at Brownlow House.

A spokesman said: “Due to the threat of dissident republican activity the parade route has been restricted by the Parades Commission despite active engagement by the Chapter with trader groups, the PSNI and elected Unionist politicians.”

Visitors are very welcome to join the Sir Knights on the day and transport tickets are available at Victor Stewart Enterprises or from any district officer.

Buses will depart from Johnston’s Row at approximately 9.15am.

Please note there will be a strict ‘No ticket, No transport’ rule enforced and tickets will not be available on the morning of the excursion.

Proceedings will then make their way to Bangor for the outgoing parade at 11am, returning at 5pm.

The Sir Knights will return to Lurgan for a final parade of Lurgan starting at approximately 7.30pm.

Corcrain Flute Band will once again lead the District in Lurgan and Bangor.
