Several hundred runners - both regular athletes and amateurs alike - landed at Craigavon City Park last weekend keen to take part in the ParkRun.

Craigavon’s ParkRun event has been drawing in runners from across the borough - with around 350
runners participating last
Saturday.

The hugely successful ParkRun event, which offers free 5k timed runs, is organised by volunteers every Saturday morning and takes place at Craigavon City
Park.

Volunteers and runners alike meet at 9:30am each Saturday to be a part of this energetic initiative and,
last week, they were
joined by an extra 200 people as part of Armagh City,
Banbridge and Craigavon Borough
 Council’s ‘NHS Couch
to 5k’.

The ‘NHS Couch to 5k’ plan is designed to get people off the coach - and gradually work them up to
running 5k or for half an hour, in just nine
weeks.
