A Limavady Sinn Fein councillor says she hopes that groups that have gained Council funding abide by the conditions laid down as part of the funding.

“There was an issue last year in Limavady when election posters were placed on a bonfire,” said councillor Brenda Chivers.

“I am not against anyone getting funding, but I feel that if they are in breach of conditions then funding should be held back.”

Responding to the issue, Louise Scullion, Council’s Community Services Manager, explained that groups who gain funding must sign up to a good relations declaration and attend training as part of the grant.
