Sharon's head shave tribute inmemory of sister

A Whitehead woman's head shave in memory of her sister has raised £1,579.

Sharon Stewart took the plunge as a tribute to Deborah Higgins who died of a brain tumour three years ago at the age of 43.

The head shave was also a fundraiser in aid of the Whitehead based charity Brainwaves.

Sharon who removed her shoulder length blonde hair has beaten her original target of £1,000.

Brainwaves NI is dedicated to providing support and information to all those affected by a brain tumour: patients, families and carers.

The charity is made up of members affected by a brain tumour themselves.
