Sheep hurdles stolen

Police are investigating the suspected theft of around 120 metal sheep hurdles from the Glenshesk area of Ballycastle sometime over the last number of weeks.

The combined value of the hurdles is around £3,000 and police believe they may be sold on for scrap metal. The impact of this type of rural crime is significant on farmers as small business people.

Anyone with information on the matter is asked to call Moyle police on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
