Sheep taken from farmland in Cookstown

Police in Cookstown are investigating a report that a number of sheep had been taken from farmland outside Cookstown.

Const. Sean Gavigan said, “Sometime between the 25th and 28th of January a number of Blue Leicester Cross Texel sheep and pure breed Texel sheep were taken from farmland on the Tirnaskea Road.

“The sheep had black spray markings on their shoulders. If you can help police with their enquiries please call the 101 number, quoting reference number 111129115.

“Alternatively information can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.”
