Ship ahoy for Castlerock Senior Citizens

TO MARK the 30 years of their club, fifty members of Castlerock Senior Citizens Wednesday Club and friends enjoyed a six day mini-cruise.

In brilliant weather, the group visited Rouen and St Malo in France and the island of Guernsey. Some of the members took the opportunity to take a trip to see the sights of Paris and visit Euro Disney.

The club was formed in the Peter Thompson Hall in Castlerock in September 1979 at the suggestion of the local Social Services.

Jean Caulfield MBE is the driving force behind the club and has been the group’s chairperson since its formation.
