Messages of sympathy have been flooding in to the local community organisation, The Hub, where Jonathan Ferry was a much loved volunteer.

A representative from The Hub paid a glowing tribute to the young man, which read: “It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the sudden death of one of our volunteers Jonathan Ferry. We will fondly remember Jonathan at his time at the Hub for always being kind, friendly, mannerly, enthusiastic and always willing to get involved and lend a hand.

“A quiet, modest fella, Jonathan would’ve been busy behind the scenes making sure all was set up ok for the traditional night and other events run by the Hub. He always had time for people and would often call in even on his days off to see how things were going.

“We would like to take this opportunity to extend our condolences and sympathy to Jonathan’s family, friends and those closest to him - you are all in our thoughts and prayers. You’ll be missed Jonathan, with love, from all at the Hub x”
