The Ballymena based charity is a Christian charity which has eleven churches and five schools in Kenya.

The founder of the ministry, Wesley Kerr, says that since his first visit to the country in July,2002, God has enabled them to support many vulnerable people in the cities of Kitale and Kisumu.

Wesley says: “We have opened our first charity shop in Ballymena on Pat’s Brae and since October we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the Ballymena people.

“All our staff are unpaid volunteers, which means we can pour all our proceeds from the shop in to supporting our five schools and 650 children in Kenya.”

Wesley added that the demand for good second-hand furniture has led the charity to extend the size of the popular shop at Pat’s Brae.

He pointed out that items for donation are always welcome as are offers from people to volunteer there.

Anyone interested in making donations for their Kenyan cause or giving up a few hours of their time to help out at the shop can contact Wesley on 07704534365 or Audrey on 07821675716.
