Garvagh DUP MLA Adrian McQuillan says ‘every little helps’ when it comes to boosting local businesses this festive season.

“I am very conscious of the state of the economy at present and the effect it is having in every town,” said the MLA.

“This is why I have taken the conscious decision to campaign for local people to shop in their local towns. Yes there is nothing nicer than to head away for a day of shopping in a strange town, but we need to look at things differently this year and in years ahead.

“We need to be more supportive of our own towns and if it can be bought locally then buy it locally. Not only will it boost local economy but it will secure jobs, the future of our shops and the future of our towns.

“My message is simple - if you can buy it in Coleraine, Garvagh, Kilrea, Portrush, Portstewart, Castlerock, or any other local area, then make an effort to buy it there. There are lots of local smaller businesses who can supply great imaginative products.”
