Shoplifter ‘should know better at his age’

A Lisburn man has admitted a series of shoplifting offences, despite being told he “at his age he should know better.”

Nigel Faulkner, 51, from Windermere Avenue, appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court charged with four counts of theft after shoplifting from two local stores. Two of the offences date back to 2011 and two are more recent, in March 2013.

Defence said the value of the items stolen was “quite low” and added “at his age he should know better.”
