Shoplifter to be sentenced

Edita Matijosaitiene, Killycomain Gardens, Portadown, faces two charges.

She is accused of stealing a T-shirt valued at £18.99 belonging to DV8 on May 31 this year and stealing an assortment of household items valued at £15.96 from Poundstretcher on the same date.

Sentencing in the case was adjourned until August 17 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.

District Judge, Mrs Bernie Kelly, said that the defendant was in breach of a Crown Court suspended sentence and asked the prosecution to refer that back to the Crown Court for re-sentence.
