SIR -

This is an Open letter to Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and town traders.

The shops have been crowded with pre Christmas and post Christmas shoppers.

I do hope that the traders have made plenty of money from the local people over that period especially since they had the Christmas lights on since early November even before Remembrance Day.

Maybe they will have made enough to spend a few pounds or even half an hour clearing the snow from the footpaths in front of their premises the next time we have a fall.

I was in town this morning (Saturday) and it was almost impossible to walk and many people were having a fall.

What about it you good shopkeepers? Don't go blaming the DOE just think about us who pay for your living.

Yours, Shopper (name and address supplied).
