Shoppers bag the bargains as new TJ Hughes store opens

The new TJ Hughes store has been highly anticipated, with thousands of shoppers having visited since its opening. With over 1.6 million invested and creating more than 150 jobs, the 43,000 sq ft store stocks tops brands at up to 60% off rrps across a range of departments including fashion, homewares and electrical goods.

Speaking at the launch, Head of Retail Operations at TJ Hughes, Diane Healey, said: "I’d like to thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this opening day possible and to say that TJ Hughes is looking forward to many years serving the Northern Ireland public and offering them never-seen-before discounts on branded products.”

TJ Hughes’ first Department Store was established in 1912 in Liverpool. Today the company trades from 1.8 million square feet of retail space with 53 department stores across Great Britain and has a reputation for being one of the UK’s strongest brands in discount retail.
