‘Shore Thing’ role for pupils
A group of Carrick Grammar School pupils travelled to Whitehead to participate in the national ‘Shore Thing’ survey.
The event, organised by the Ulster Wildlife Trust, monitors the effects of climate change in coastal waters by measuring the presence of non-native, warm water species. The Biology pupils’ findings will be entered into the national MarLIN database which is a comprehensive resource of information about the marine environment.
