Shortlist for Lisburn City Business Awards revealed

The coveted awards, which recognise outstanding businesses in the Lisburn City area, will this year be presented across 16 diverse categories.

The winners will be announced at a glittering, sold out gala ceremony on Thursday March 19 at Lagan Valley Island, an event which is seen as the highlight of the Lisburn business calendar.

The 2015 event marks a very special occasion for the Council for two reasons; firstly because the Council is celebrating 10 years of the business awards, and secondly because this will be the last business awards event for the Lisburn City Council area. From the 1st of April a new Super Council, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council will be established which will herald a new era for the Business Awards.

Commenting on the shortlist the Chairman of Lisburn City Council’s Economic Development Committee, Alderman Allan Ewart said: “2015 marks the 10th year of the Lisburn City Business Awards and on the night the event will reward the hard work and achievements of local companies that continue to deliver business excellence.

“In this context the finalists can be justly proud, as the calibre and volume of entries were both extremely high this year. On behalf of Lisburn City Council, I would like to congratulate them all and we look forward to celebrating their success on the 19 March.”

A panel of independent judges has determined the shortlist after considering an overwhelming number of entries from a vast range of businesses across greater Lisburn.
