Shot fired at house in Lurgan

A shot has been fired through the window of a house in Lurgan, said the PSNI.

Detectives investigating the incident said a house in Victoria Street was targeted and a shot was fired through the front window.

Chief Inspector Davy Beck said, “The incident, which was reported to police this morning, 20 October, is believed to have taken place around 11.10pm on Monday, 19 October.

“The house was empty at the time and we are currently working to establish a motive for the shooting.

“A car was seen driving up and down in the area around this time and I would appeal to anyone who was in the Victoria Street area and noticed this car, witnessed the shooting incident or has information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Lurgan on 101.”

Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
