‘Significant’ drop in Carrickfergus absenteeism

A marked fall in absenteeism at Carrickfergus Borough Council has been highlighted in the Local Government Auditor’s Report 2015.

Last year, the former Antrim Street authority’s absenteeism rate “fell significantly” by 4.33 days per employee. The Northern Ireland average sickness absence rate in 2013-14 was 11.63 days a year compared with 11.76 days the previous year.
