The plans were outlined by Ulster Scots Agency CEO Ian Crozier, who attended the unveiling of a blue plaque in the town by the Ulster History Circle last Thursday.

“There will be new signs welcoming people to Scotch Quarter and McKeen’s Green, as well as new interpretive signage at the Knot Garden. This will tell people more about the Burning Bush sculpture which commemorates the founding of the first Presbytery here in Carrickfergus,” Mr Crozier explained.“There will also be more signage explaining the Ulster Scots link in the area around the castle; we hope it will all be in place in time for the Twelfth.”
