The 34-year-old local was eliminated from the TV show during the live playoff stage, after singing To Be With You by American band Mr Big.

Keith, whose mentor was Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, had previously been compared to U2 and The Script by music mogul Pharrell Williams.

Both Pharrell and No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani told Keith that he should record a music album. Keith and his wife Lanette are expecting a baby in February.
