Singing priest in Magheralin boost

ST Patrick and St Ronan’s Church in Magheralin reopened in March of this year after going through extensive refurbishment and renovation.

The original church dates back to 1843 and on March 6, 2011 – the church was Rededicated to include St Ronan, whose roots date even further back to AD 637,when it is said St Ronan built his first church in Magheralin.

The area is rich in history and there are many articles written about early Christianity in this area.

The people of the parish have spent the last three years raising funds through various activities in order to pay for the renovation & extension.

It is with great pleasure that the internationally renowned Liam Lawton has agreed to come to Church to help with the fund raising activity.

This will be on Sunday, November 27 and tickets are priced £15.

Liam is a priest and an internationally renowned singer and he is performing for us to support the building fund.

Liam normally plays in larger venues and the fact he is coming to a small country church makes the concert much more special.
