Sinn Fein launches campaign

The Campaign Launch in Lurgan, was also addressed by Sinn Féin Education Minister John O’Dowd MLA.

In his keynote address Mr McGuinness said, “Catherine is an outstanding, very talented candidate who I have no doubt will continue to do what she has already been doing in her time as an elected representative, and as the Deputy Mayor of Craigavon, showing remarkable leadership and commitment to the people of Upper Bann.

Sinn Fein Westminster Candidate Ms. Seeley said, “A vote for Sinn Féin in Upper Bann can make history.

“Sinn Féin are the only chance to change the old, big-house unionist domination of this seat.

“To make real change there is only one option.

“When it comes to standing up for Upper Bann - you can’t trust the SDLP, DUP, UUP or the British Tories.

“Only a vote for Sinn Féin can force Westminster, the DUP and the other parties to live up to, and to fulfil the commitments made in recent negotiations.

“On Thursday 7th May, I am asking the people of Upper Bann to make the change, to make the choice, to Make History Happen and to elect me as the MP for Upper Bann.”
