Sinn Fein welcome Rushmere plans
Sinn Féin MLA John O’Dowd has welcomed the recent announcement that two new restaurants will be built at Rushmere Shopping Centre in Craigavon, creating up to 130 new jobs.
Mr O’Dowd commented, “The creation of new jobs is a welcome boast to the local economy during these difficult economic times. Many sectors have been hit hard, including the construction industry; job creation within this industry is vital, if we are to keep these invaluable skills at home. The announcement that up to 50 construction jobs will be created throughout the build is much welcomed and needed.”
Mr O’Dowd said, “The message is clear, Craigavon is a good place for people to work, live and relax. We welcome the investment into the area over the past number of years and will continue to work with statutory agencies, council and others to promote continued investment in the area.”
