Sit Out charity cheque presentation

Ballymoney businessman Jonathan Gault completed his sixth annual New Year’s Eve sit-out with local man Paul Ross keeping him company for the entire 24 hours. The two men set-up camp at 11am on New Year’s Eve and sat right through until 11am on New Year’s Day.

Both Jonathan and Paul said they were overwhelmed with the support they received with the total amount raised £4,090. Jonathan said: “This will make an amazing difference when you think that you can sink a bore-hole in Uganda for £3,600 which will bring fresh clean water to a village of several thousand people.”

All monies raised will be used towards school building and teaching projects in Northern Uganda. “We liaise with Fields of Life who will advise us of the greatest needs and suggest a number of projects for us to work with, their assistance and guidance is vital as they have staff in Uganda who can manage the project from beginning to end”.

The two men said it was very important that they thanked everyone for their support for without it they wouldn’t be able to do the work they are involved with in East Africa, but ultimately they wanted to thank God for his provision and undertaking for all that took place during the sit-out.
