Six caravans damaged

Vandals have damaged the doors of six caravans at a site in Dunluce Road in Portrush.

It is not yet known if anything was taken during the incident which occurred overnight on New Year’s Eve.

Anyone who can help to identify the culprits is asked to contact the police at Coleraine.

A window of licensed premises at New Market Street in Coleraine has been broken. The damage occurred around 10:00 pm on Friday, January 1.

A man arrested in connection with the incident was later released on police bail pending further enquiries into the matter. Witnesses to the damage, are asked to contact the police at Coleraine.

Heating oil stolen

Police are investigating the theft of a quantity of heating oil which has been stolen from a house at Old Mill Grange in Portstewart.

The theft was discovered around 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 2, but may have taken place sometime during the previous week. Anyone who can help to solve this crime is asked to contact the police at Coleraine.

Thieves have attempted unsuccessfully to break into a pick-up vehicle parked at a house in Mill Road in Portstewart. Police investigating the incident, which happened overnight on Friday, January 1, are eager to hear from anyone who noticed the culprits in the area.
