Skeagh Flute Band ‘Scot’ what it takes

DROMORE’S Skeogh Flute Band returned from a successful trip to Scotland recently, with Drum Major Colin Ward winning the prize for best leader on parade.

Taking part in the Aidrie District parade in the morning and then on to Slirling for the Scottish Twelfth demonstration, the band came out on top against more than 40 others on parade.

At home, Skeogh paraded in Newry on the Twelfth and on July 13 took part in the Scarva Demonstration under the auspices of the Royal Black Institution.

Just last Sunday they had the honour of travelling to Coleraine to lead one of the countries taking part in the Milk Cup tournament.
