SLIDESHOW: Crowds turn out for Armed Forces Day events
Members of the armed forces received a warm welcome when they paraded through Ballymena on Saturday.
Thousands of people from near and far lined the streets to watch the spectacle which saw serving and former members of the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Air Force and cadets walk through the town to the showgrounds led by the Band of HM Royal Marines (Scotland).
After a short Drumhead Service at that destination, a fabulous programme of family fun got underway, also attracting hundreds of people from a wide area who were all keen to celebrate Armed Forces Day.
