The pre sale show sponsored by Glens Farm Supplies was judged by Benvale Suffolk flock owner Rodney Blair from Ballymoney. The first class before Rodney was a very strong Shearling Ram class with his first choice going to R C & J C Watsons Bannview flock bred shearling ram, he was by Birness Pure Genius with Birness the Great behind the dam. His reserve was John Hegartys Benhead ram sired by Blackbrae Bold and out of a Kirkview Impulse bred ewe.

The ram lamb class saw Packie Donnelly’s smart Birness Bolt sired ram lamb take top honours with Kings High and Mighty behind the dam. The reserve spot went to the Windyhill ram lamb of Fred Smyth which was out of Islandmoyle Redneck and a Rhaeader Rossi bred ewe.
