Mrs Christie received a footstool from Alan Hamilton, chair of Carrickfergus Royal British Legion and Alan Weir, who made the piece.

Veterans were joined by a range of uniformed organisations and representatives from Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the commemoration on National Armed Forces Day.
