Small Business Saturday in town

Upper Bann MP David Simpson joined a delegation of small businesses from Banbridge to promote Small Business Saturday which will take place at the weekend.

Some of those who will part will include Claire Mann (Retro Revival – Banbridge, Michael Donaghy (Donaghy’s Shoes), Roiseen McAleenan (Angelic Bridal) and Porter’s of Banbridge.

Mr Simpson said, “Small businesses in Banbridge are the backbone of our economy.

“We should be proud of the vast array of small businesses in the area who offer excellent services and products for ourevery day needs. ‘Small Business Saturday 2014’ exists to support, inspire and promote small businesses on December 6.

“Throughout my time as MP I have consistently supported small businesses, not just on Small Business Saturday, but every day. “With the festive period upon us, our local economy has the opportunity to connect and inspire their customers with what they have to offer.”

“As we continue to drag ourselves out of a difficult economic climate; I wish our small local businesses well. as they use their energy and initiatives to grow their businesses and drive our local economy.”
