Smart Kids Nursery is officially opened

This venture has been set up by local girl Cathy Davidson, and will look after and care for babies through to children up to 12 years of age.

Speaking following the official opening, David Simpson MP said: “I was honoured to be asked to attend and be involved in the official opening of Smart Kids Child Care facility in Gilford town centre.

“I have known the proprietor Mrs Cathy Harris for many years and I have no doubt that this new venture will be a huge success.

“Cathy I believe has the drive, passion and determination to make this business work and I certainly would wish her well for the future.

“I have been assisting Cathy with her venture and look forward to working with her over the coming months to help achieve additional PEAG places from the SLEB.

Highlighting the fact that Smart Kids will help to alleviate problems caused by a lack of nursery places each year, Mr Simpson continued: “Childcare and nursery provision is always a hot topic within Northern Ireland with a lack of places available year on year. Smart Kids will address the needs in the Gilford area and will provide families with an alternative, reliable facility.

“I would wish Cathy and the entire team well with the new venture as they seek to attend to the educational needs .
