Smoke alarm activated in '˜small fire' at Ballycastle house

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a fire at terrace house in Ballycastle's Drumawilin Park on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred shortly before 7.00pm and the small fire was out on arrival of firefighters, who ventilated smoke from the premises.

NIFRS stated that the smoke alarm was activated and the cause of the fire appeared accidental.
