Smoke alarm alerts occupier to Mallusk house fire

A working smoke alarm alerted an occupier to a fire in their Mallusk home on Monday, September 12.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a fire at a semi-detached house at Dermont Crescent at approximately 16:45.

Firefighters used a hosereel jet to extinguish a fire involving a tumble dryer. The cause of the fire appeared accidental. Fire crews from Glengormley Station attended the incident.
