Snooker sides draw

THE top of the table clash between Ballymoney All Stars and Drones A ended with both teams sharing the points in the McAtamney’s Butchers-sponsored Ballymoney & Coleraine Snooker League.

Stars player Danny Tweed took the first frame against Paul Simpson who took the second frame easily to level the match.

It was Gregory Cooke who put the visitors ahead against Aidy McGonigle who played well to take the second against a very accomplished player indeed.

It was David Baker who put the Drones in the driving seat taking the fifth frame against Leonard McConaghie but McConaghie won the sixth frame with a well executed 56 break to gain a draw which was a good result for both sides.

There were good wins for Dunloy United who travelled and came with with a five frames to one win over Triangle B while Triangle A beat near neighbours 147 Club, taking all six points, making the league table very close indeed.

The teams holding bottom places are Triangle Hawks along with 147 Club but they have a match in hand but there is still a long way to go and as the saying goes it is a funny ole game.
